I hope you are feeling well. Here is a new list of things that can hopefully bring you some ideas, solace, and inspiration. Below, you’ll find a meditation recording to help you rest fully. Also, if you missed it, my last newsletter was on projection.

Non Fiction:
The places that scare you - Pema Chodron
“We can let the circumstances of our lives harden us so that we become increasingly resentful and afraid, or we can let them soften us and make us kinder and more open to what scares us. We always have this choice.”
Fiction:
“Life is most difficult for those who know what they want and also know what makes it impossible for them to get what they want. Life is still difficult, but less so, for those who know what they want but have not realized that they will never get it. It is the least difficult for people who do not know what they want.”
One recipe
I’ve been making a lot of Kedgeree lately. It’s an Indian rice recipe with spices and smoked fish. I like to add a spoon of Greek yogurt on top. A few versions: recipe, another one here.
One piece of art
Remedios Varo's works is an invitation to the dream world
One song
For those who don’t know, Milton Nascimento is one of the greatest Brazilian Musicians who influenced many others both nationally and internationally. This song is called “Tudo o que voce podia ser” roughly translating “Everything you could be”
One reflection
Looking back, I can see that early on I knew how I wanted to live my life – as something like a dance between making it happen and letting it happen. But getting there took much longer than I thought... - from Arianna Huffington

One breathing practice
For an energizing breathing practice that you can use in the middle of the afternoon or to help you wake up:
Double inhale through the nose: one short inhale followed by one longer inhale.
Hold the breath and swallow.
Double exhale through the mouth: one short exhale followed by one longer exhale.

right??!
One help
The south of Brazil is underwater. We’re facing the worst floods in decades. It’s very disheartening. If you feel inclined, here’s an idea for donation: UNHCR

MEDITATION RECORDING
This practice is intended to bring us rest. You might listen to it lying down, before going to sleep, or whenever you feel you need some deep rest. I hope it’s supportive and helps your body relax. Enjoy.
